Supreme Court 8-1 Decision: Declaratory relief is enough for redressability where there is ongoing harm and government causes it

Yesterday the Supreme Court in a 8-1 decision addressed the question of redressability. They said that even $1 in “nominal damages” was enough when young people’s constitutional rights were violated in a religious speech case and even when the policies challenged had been rescinded. The case says declaratory relief is enough for redressability where there is ongoing harm and the government causes it.
