Quantifying Land and People Exposed to Sea‐Level Rise with no Mitigation and 1.5°C and 2.0°C Rise in Global Temperatures to Year 2300
Limiting global warming to 1.5-2C above pre-industrial could greatly reduce the number of people exposed to sea level rise in 2300. The proportion of the global population exposed to sea level rise in 2300 is projected to be 1.5% if efforts are made to reduce climate change and 5.4% if no mitigation efforts are made, the research finds.
